Our environmental pledge
We take responsibility
A very high standard of conceptual design, image selection and quality of our calendars is very important for us. Equally high is our sense of responsibility towards the environment. That's why we have been using only paper with the FSC® label for over 10 years, to promote responsible forestry. In addition, we produce all calendars in Germany, thus keeping transport distances short and fully offsetting the CO2 emissions generated during production by supporting climate protection projects around the world.
Climate neutral
since 2013
Climate protection is as much a social as a corporate obligation.
That's why all Ackermann calendars have been printed in a climate-neutral way since as early as 2013. As part of certified processes, the CO₂ emissions generated during production are offset by supporting global climate protection projects.
What does climate-neutral production mean?
- Compensating the CO2 emissions inevitably generated during production
- Support of recognized climate protection projects all over the world
- Transparent verifiability by entering the ID on natureOffice.com
Sustainable
since 2012
Paper is, next to images and ideas, the most important raw material for our calendar production.
Therefore, since 2012, we have been using only paper that comes from exemplary managed, FSC®-certified forests and other controlled sources - to promote responsible forestry.
What does the FSC certification stand for?
- Responsible management of forests, for the benefit of present and future generations
- Respect for the rights of workers and the local population
- No negative impact on the natural habitats of endangered species
Made in Germany
since 1597
All Ackermann calendars are produced exclusively where they are created: In Germany.
This way we guarantee the high quality Ackermann products are known for, avoid supply bottlenecks, and protect our environment and the climate through short transport routes.
What are the advantages?
- Consistently high print quality in accordance with industry standard PSO
- Ability to deliver at short notice
- Avoidance of climate-damaging emissions due to transport from or to third countries
The Ackermann forest
Since 2020, we have been replanting a tree for every tree required for the production of our paper. As part of the "Project Togo" initiative in West Africa, this creates more than 3.5 hectares of "Ackermann forest" every year, which will continue to grow with every edition and every single reprint. In addition, we create jobs and help people on site, where it is most needed.
