Our environmental pledge

We take responsibility

A very high standard of conceptual design, image selection and quality of our calendars is very important for us. Equally high is our sense of responsibility towards the environment. That's why we have been using only paper with the FSC® label for over 10 years, to promote responsible forestry. In addition, we produce all calendars in Germany, thus keeping transport distances short and fully offsetting the CO2 emissions generated during production by supporting climate protection projects around the world.

Climate neutral
since 2013

Climate protection is as much a social as a corporate obligation.

Since 2013, we have been offsetting all CO₂ emissions generated during the production of our calendars. Our climate partner NatureOffice ensures that greenhouse gases are demonstrably and effectively reduced and that the living conditions of the local population are improved.

What does climate-neutral production mean?

  • Compensating the CO2 emissions inevitably generated during production
  • Support of recognized climate protection projects all over the world
  • Transparent verifiability by entering the calendar-specific ID on natureOffice.com (see example)

Sustainable
since 2012

Paper is, next to images and ideas, the most important raw material for our calendar production.

Therefore, since 2012, we have only used paper that comes from well-managed, FSC®-certified forests and other controlled sources - to promote responsible forestry.

What does the FSC certification stand for?

  • Responsible management of forests, for the benefit of present and future generations
  • Safeguarding the rights of workers and the local population
  • Conservation of the natural habitats of endangered animal species

Made in Germany
since 1597

All Ackermann calendars are produced exclusively where they are created: In Germany.

Our long-standing cooperation with our partners guarantees the highest print quality, short transportation routes and supports the local economy.

What are the advantages?

  • Consistently high print quality according to industry standard PSO
  • Reliable delivery capacity
  • Avoidance of climate-damaging emissions caused by unnecessarily long transportation routes

The Ackermann forest

We go one step further: in addition to offsetting CO₂, we have been planting a new tree for every tree used for our calendars since 2020. As part of the Project Togo initiative in West Africa, an "Ackermann Forest" covering more than 8 hectares has already been created, and it will continue to grow with every edition and every single reprint.  This commitment promotes sustainable reforestation, creates jobs and improves the living conditions of local people - far beyond ordinary climate protection projects, 12 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations are fulfilled here.
