The Ackermann Team
Small team. Big fun.
Founded in Munich as early as 1597, Ackermann, as a former "Royal Bavarian Court Supplier", stands for wall decoration of the highest quality. Despite this long history, we have always remained the "little Ackermann" with our team of just ten employees. What luck, because as a little free spirit we can also allow ourselves a little bit of craziness every now and then - and dedicate ourselves again and again with childlike enthusiasm to our common favorite pastime: to develop every year anew a small, fine calendar program.

Nicole Roussey
Publishing Director
At Ackermann I am responsible for:
Selecting the most beautiful images for our calendars and keeping the team running strategically and emotionally.
My colleagues probably think that ...
I'm a bit crazy, because I climb a mountain every free minute.
That's what I would do if I weren't at Ackermann:
Travel the world as a food hunter.
What’s definitely on my to-do list:
Moving from Munich to near the mountains with my sales manager. If anyone has a tip for an apartment in Bad Tölz, please let me know.
Totally overrated in my opinion:
What used to be common yesterday.
My personal zodiac sign:
Mountain goat. It prefers to stay above the tree line and stubbornly goes with its head through the wall.
I could do without this season:
Winter: in Bavaria it lasts for 6 months and I'm a real snow and avalanche scaredy-cat in the mountains.
My favorite holiday:
Any holiday which does not fall on a Saturday or Sunday.

Michael Kleine
Management
At Ackermann I am responsible for:
The finances, the product quality ... and the good mood!
My colleagues probably think that ...
I’m a completely "laid-back guy" who knows exactly what he wants.
That's what I would do if I weren't at Ackermann:
Take care of my family and play with the grandchildren. And apart from that, I'm sure I'd do lots of crazy things. I'm always coming up with something new. Definitely, spending a lot of time in my favorite country, France.
What’s definitely on my to-do list:
Three long RV trips: through Iceland, through Canada and through New Zealand ... and snowmobiling in Lapland!
Totally overrated in my opinion:
What everyone is doing!
My personal zodiac sign:
Silverback. Broad silver hair and serenity in person.
I could do without this season:
None of them, they're all beautiful!
My favorite holiday:
Christmas, especially the sparkle in children's eys. In the past from my children and now from the grandchildren.

Johannes Eue
Sales Management
At Ackermann I am responsible for:
Getting customers excited about Ackermann's great, colorful, diverse calendars and convincing them that they absolutely need more Ackermann calendars.
My colleagues probably think that ...
...I have a sense of humor that takes some getting used to and that I laugh too loudly.
That's what I would do if I weren't at Ackermann:
Being outside all day and hiking up the mountains or cycling through the countryside.
What’s definitely on my to-do list:
Walk at least a longer section of the Via Alpina – preferably with my publishing director, of course ...
Totally overrated in my opinion:
Status symbols like fancy cars and big watches.
My personal zodiac sign:
Chamois. I like to aim high and if someone gets too close, I can hiss at them.
I could do without this season:
The damp, dirty winter with slush and cold wind. I also love winter with a bright blue sky and fresh snow in the mountains.
My favorite holiday:
Easter – because that's when nature wakes up from its hibernation at the latest.

Stephan Schlieker
Art Director
At Ackermann I am responsible for:
Graphic and visuals, ideas and idiocies, most of the coffee consumption.
My colleagues probably think that ...
... can combine chaos and pedantry in an amazingly-enervating way.
That's what I would do if I weren't at Ackermann:
Full-time hiking trail inspector (in Iceland in summer, Madeira in winter).
What’s definitely on my to-do list:
Clean up my desk. Someday.
Totally overrated in my opinion:
A tidy desk.
My personal zodiac sign:
Sheep. Stoicism in its purest form, not the worst guiding star - and so nice and fluffy.
I could do without this season:
Winter (at least the felt 80% gray and rainy days).
My favorite holiday:
December 30 - known in the U.S. as "Last Minute Big Change Day."

Julia Schlieker
Production & Purchasing
At Ackermann I am responsible for:
Shopping, shopping, shopping - I certainly do most of the shopping here. Whether it's the production of our new calendars or other things we need. I also manage quite a lot of data, especially of our calendars ...
My colleagues probably think that ...
...could go ahead and marry the art director - oops, already done that!
That's what I would do if I weren't at Ackermann:
Merge with my sewing machine.
What’s definitely on my to-do list:
Merge with my sewing machine.
Totally overrated in my opinion:
The seriousness of life.
My personal zodiac sign:
Unicorn. With glitter dust and rainbow clouds, every problem simply disappears.
I could do without this season:
I like all seasons. If I left out even one, it would be a real shame.
My favorite holiday:
CHRISTMAS. The complete two and a half days, they could be extended to the whole month.

Sandra Peters
Production & Purchasing
At Ackermann I am responsible for:
Procuring materials and looking after suppliers - so that production runs smoothly. I also manage a lot of data and Excel lists and keep an eye on the stock levels of our calendars and everything else.
My colleagues probably think that ...
... I should now travel to my home region often to bring East German specialities such as crispy flakes, Russian bread, Halloren balls and Bautzen mustard to the Acker woman.
That's what I would do if I weren't at Ackermann:
Running a painting studio as a freelance artist for the first half of the year and travelling by motorbike for the second half of the year to photograph new subjects to paint.
What’s definitely on my to-do list:
Explore Costa Rica and sail through the Panama Canal.
Totally overrated in my opinion:
High heels - I much prefer sneakers and motorbike boots.
My personal zodiac sign:
Hummingbird. Always on the move, freedom-loving, persistent and I can easily keep up with the colourful plumage ;)
I could do without this season:
Winter - the days when it's grey, dreary, too cold, too slushy.
My favorite holiday:
Whit Monday - it's quite warm by then, and it never falls on a weekend.

Henrike Rehm
Sales B2B
At Ackermann I am responsible for:
I try to fulfill our B2B customers' every promotional calendar request and keep our office happy by making coffee on a regular basis.
My colleagues probably think that ...
... have amazing weather karma and, as a year-round cyclist, hardly ever get wet on my way to work.
That's what I would do if I weren't at Ackermann:
Miss my job and the nice colleagues!
What’s definitely on my to-do list:
A winter vacation on the frozen North Sea, although I would be happy with ice floes.
Totally overrated in my opinion:
Oysters and truffles.
My personal zodiac sign:
Trout. Always in clear water and sometimes against the current.
I could do without this season:
The gloomy weeks at the end of winter. Although, that's not really true, because it's cozy inside and spring is already in sight!
My favorite holiday:
January 1, when the new year is fresh, unspent and expectant before us.

Conny Bollwein
Lithography
At Ackermann I am responsible for:
I take a close look at the hires data, improve them here and there, make forgotten photo bags and other found objects disappear from the picture. I also finalize the calendar data and spruce it up for printing.
My colleagues probably think that ...
... have the best job in the world?
That's what I would do if I weren't at Ackermann:
Start a dachshund farm. But I couldn't decide whether to have a long, short or smooth-haired dachshund. They are all so cute.
What’s definitely on my to-do list:
Make more music for sure and found a pensioner band in old age, that rocks! And get a dachshund :)
Totally overrated in my opinion:
Who actually asks all the questions here?
My personal zodiac sign:
A: Taurus is motivated, steady and patient - a true fighter with animal endurance.
B: In the Chinese horoscope I am a wooden goat!
I'll take A.
I could do without this season:
Definitely summer! Ha, ha - fell for it!!!
My favorite holiday:
I take them as they come!

Lea Brandstetter
E-Commerce & Controlling
At Ackermann I am responsible for:
Captions, analysis, and for things I don't even know exist ... and, of course, for increasing the tea-drinker ratio.
My colleagues probably think that ...
... all I have to do is try the coffee in the office to become a coffee drinker, too.
That's what I would do if I weren't at Ackermann:
Open a bookstore with a café that only serves a bad cappuccino in addition to tea.
What’s definitely on my to-do list:
A tour of the Scottish Highlands.
Totally overrated in my opinion:
Orchids - only bloom if you ignore them.
My personal zodiac sign:
Cat. Stubborn, ready to fight, but also sweet and social.
I could do without this season:
Definitely not autumn. And winter. And spring. I guess that leaves summer.
My favorite holiday:
Semi-Christmas with friends and crazy ideas and traditions.

Anita Brantley
Artist Relations
At Ackermann I am responsible for:
Liaising with photographers, artists and agencies.
My colleagues probably think that ...
... I could start crocheting already.
That's what I would do if I weren't at Ackermann:
Keep looking for the perfect job.
What’s definitely on my to-do list:
Barista course, pottery course, "handlettering course", food styling course, goldsmithing course, .... And then, of course, I have an incredible number of travel destinations, sailing trip in Australia, New Zealand, New England, ...
Totally overrated in my opinion:
Taking your car to the car wash.
My personal zodiac sign:
Hyperactive sloth.
I could do without this season:
The 5th season - which is the carnival season in Germany. Well, except for the doughnuts!
My favorite holiday:
Thanksgiving! As a German-American family, it's a MUST - and although cooking is not my favorite thing to do I love waiting all day for the bird to be ready. Maybe it's because you get to open wine before noon?
